S5E09 - "Namaste"

More episode titles in foreign languages.  This one's Sanskrit for "I'm a filthy hippie."

03:13  Might cheap CGI airplane there, guys.

No, not like that.
04:22  As I said above: why didn't Sun disappear?

08:10  "Dude your English is awesome!"  Nice one, Hurley-hurls.

14:12  I don't like this Cesar dude.  I still think he's a plant.  (Also we still didn't find out how Ben got the shit beat out of him).  And where is Locke?

16:43  Little baby creepy-ass Ethan.

19:06  I like "Hostiles" better than "Others."  I mean, we can discuss the philosophy of the Other until we're blue in the teeth, but the former is a better all-around descriptor, am I right?

19:45  There's our boy Sayid!

21:19  Faraday's gone?  But . . . I liked him.  And that's saying a lot for characters on this show.

23:23  Ah, I see, I bet the entire plane went back to 1977, but the fact that they're on different islands explains why some of them . . . oh I don't know, who knows?

25:45  Concuss!

28:42  I don't think Kate likes Juliet very much.  Women

29:47  McCoughnadickname:  "Quick-draw."  I'd rather it be El Kabong, though.

34:24  Or does she have a bit of a journey . . .  behind her?

38:51  Sawyer is now Winston Churchill.  Making Jack . . . I dunno, Stalin?

40:11  This ain't a love triangle, it's a love quadrilateral of some sort.

S5E08 - "LaFleur"

That's French for "the flower."  It was also my nickname at summer camp.

04:23  That's the same TEAC tape machine my dad had.

06:40  Wait a minute, that's not his name!  Then again, neither is "sawyer," so . . . .

07:14  McCoughnadickname:  "Enos."  (Unless that's Miles's secret identity.)

12:26  Bang bang!

13:28  McCoughnadickname:  "Plato."

16:43  The sonic reducers are looking shiny and new here in the past.

18:01  Clever girl - earplugs!

21:40  Hey, they both lived.  Good job, Juliet.

25:02  If I were on a record, what song would I want to be on?

26:40  Look, it's ol' Ageless Alpert again.

28:04  McCoughnadickname:  "Banzai."

28:26  Ha!  Sawyer said something about Alpert's eyeliner.  I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed.

29:38  "What are you?"  He's just a traveler in time, of course.

35:17  Two weeks, three years, whatever.  Wait, so now it's 1977.  They're totally missing punk rock and Star Wars.

And, of course, Billy Beer.

36:08  Did Sawyer steal Jack's other woman?  Smooth!

38:36  See, Sawyer's thinking of Kate now.  Bluh buh duh buh.

39:50  Juliet is big spoon.  Shows the dynamic of their relationship.

41:06  So they all traveled back in time?  Or . . . just Jack, Hurley, and Kate?  Where's Sun and Sayid?  And why didn't Aaron count as one of the Six that needed to come back to the island? Let's have some consistency, dammit!

S5E07 - "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham"

01:30  Alright, who's this jackass?

04:18  Oh, they landed on the wrong island, didn't they?

08:36  The doctor just said "shway shway" which is Arabic for "cool your jets!"

09:03  Creepy-ass Abaddon is there, watching.

I mean, he's just plain creepy-lookin', right?

Jack sure seems to think so.
10:14  And now a visit from Mr. Widmore.

14:32  I just realized, apparently Locke is fixed for good.  No wheelchair in Tunisia.

15:36  Ha, and Abaddon brings out the chair because of his broken leg.

19:40  Aww, he went to go visit Walt.  Oh wait, I knew that already, didn't I?

23:52  Is Locke going to kill this guy?  God I hope so.

27:28  Oh no, Peg Bundy died.  Or, at least, that's what they want Locke to think.

RIP Leela
29:15  Well, at least somebody killed the guy.  (Ben, I'm guessing.)

29:59  Jesus, Locke, you just can't stay out of the hospital, now, can you?

32:49  Jack's kind of angry.

34:23  Oh, poor John, going to have to kill himself.

36:39  Well, I'm utterly confused as to who's the good guy and who's the bad guy here, Widmore or Linus.

38:03  But . . . John has to die, right?  Oh my head.

40:23  Okay wait what but you just saved him and now you die him you just needed the name didn't you you bastard!

42:38  I bet Cesar is a Widmore spy, too.

S5E06 - "316"

For God so loved the world that he did some stuff, had a son, made bread, something, I dunno I'm not a Christian.

01:16  Wait, so Jack's already back on the island?  Did I miss something here?  And why is Hurley yelling, how did he get back in the fold?  Gah!

03:38  Okay, here we go, two days previous.

04:59  Dharma vault in a church basement?  Eh, fair enough.

07:59  Alright, so the island moves around in space, corresponding to a specific time window.  I can accept that.  It even almost makes sense, kind of.

11:24  Jack seems a bit skeptical.

12:56  Locke will be a substitute for another guy?

15:33  Yes, yes, Locke will be resurrected.  I said that already.

17:32  Okay, who's the dementia patient?

18:25  Ah, it's Jack's grandpa.  Doesn't look that much older than his dad, really.

19:39  MYSTICAL SHOES

21:30  But . . . what . . . with Aaron?  Or is this the writers' cheap way of getting rid of him without having to write anything.  (And, cue the fucking!)

24:17  Oh shit, what the fuck happened to Ben's face?

28:50  How the hell did Sayid get captured by the police (only to end up on the proper flight)?  And how did Hurley get busted out all the sudden?  And hey, that's the female lead from Outsourced, a show that apparently only I watched.

33:24  By the way, Ojira Airlines is only one letter off from Gojira, which is, of course, the transliterated version of the original Japanese name for Godzilla.

34:26  Lapidus!  Nice.

35:32  His reaction was great, too.

36:09  I've read Ulysses.  Took a while.

38:25  Here it comes.

41:02  I still want to know who beat the shit out of Ben.

41:34  Hey!  It's Jin!  With a . . . newer van?

S5E05 - "This Place is Death"

According to Dave Berman, Louisville is death; ergo, the island is Louisville!

02:16 Whoa whoa, continuity error!  At the end of the last episode, she already grabbed the gun - here she had a phone call, then grabbed the gun.  Come on, editors!

03:03  Alright then, Ben, prove it.

08:23  Dead French people.  Just like my nightmares.

09:45  Well, now the guy stands no chance - he just got disarmed!  Ha!  Get it?  'Cause his arm got ripped off!

11:29  I'm going to assume this is the Temple they mentioned a few episodes back.  Or maybe a few seasons back, who knows.

16:05  Reunited and it feels so sunburned.

21:10  Is this bitch dead yet or what?  Oh damn, everybody's got the brain-bleeds.

24:42  That goddamn Geronimo Jackson again.

28:15  The crazy scary man on the island?  Richard Nixon.

32:02  Dammit, John, that was the exact opposite of holding on.

33:29  Aaaaaaaaaaaaand dead.

34:32  It's a goddamn polar bear!  Oh, it's Jack's dad.  Whatever.

36:12  First a Faraday, now a Hawking.  Philosophers, physicists . . . What's next, philologists?  Psychologists?  Pterodactyls?

37:53  Spin the time-wheel, John.  Spin it.

40:30  Well, look who it is!  It's Dessy-poos!

41:11  Yep, it's the woman from the ring store in London.  I called that shit episodes ago.

S5E04 - "The Little Prince"

No, not that Prince.

04:09  What kind of three year old can't even open a bottle of ketchup?  What a little asshole.

05:36  Well of course there's a gun in the bottom of the chocolate box!

09:04  Who is "the client"?  Starring Susan Sarandon?

10:44  Jack knows how to convince Sawyer - bring up the lady.

11:47  Why is Sawyer going to the Orchid?  Did I miss something?

12:29  I thought Sayid was working for Ben.  Why is he so against him now?

15:15  Kate's address?  The plot thickens.  Like agar.  The plot is agar.  (Man, I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about.)

18:19  Now Miles is bleeding from his brains too.

25:48  My guess:  Those are the boats the Oceanic Six come back to the island in.

31:43  Well, this is interesting.  What is going on?

33:40  Angela Chase's dad is one shrewd shyster.

35:35  Juliet's brain is bleeding too!

37:06  Well I'll be damned, Jin's still alive.  Barely.

40:04  Why do these soldiers have violins?  Or, why do these musicians have guns?

41:38  Haha, sweet, Jin has no fucking clue what's going on.

Okay I know there were no silly clips or funny pictures this time, so, uh . . . . here's some Space Ghost:
